Set on a working blueberry farm near Lake Michigan, The Fields feels both open and contained. You are close to South Haven's beaches and bike trails, but the property keeps its own quieter pace.
Part of the Outdoor Collection by Under Canvas, the property enters a fuller phase for 2026, adding 26 upscale tents to reach 45 tents and cottages, along with expanded communal spaces and a broader culinary program. The farm setting gives the stay a specific southwest Michigan character rather than something interchangeable.
The stay
Each tent has been enhanced with a king bed, premium linens, an ensuite bathroom with a rainfall-style shower, air conditioning, an electric fireplace, a private deck, and custom mid-century modern furnishings. Two new communal spaces anchor the daily flow: The Willow, a gathering area with a screened porch and dining tables, and The Outpost, which offers complimentary bicycles, yoga mats, and hiking poles.
Dining and the farm
For 2026, dining plays a larger role, with daily breakfast, café dinner service, espresso at the lobby bar, and The Supper Club from Thursday through Sunday. A new retail and provisions shop stocks outdoor essentials and grab-and-go food. Through it all, the identity stays grounded in the farm, the tents, and easy access to South Haven and the lakeshore.
