Eight years ago, glamping was still an unfamiliar idea across much of the Southeast. In Georgia and neighboring states, Nathan and Rebeka saw families who wanted time outdoors without the friction, an experience that felt restorative rather than overwhelming. They built Timberline around that gap.
Inside the parks
The concept was clear from the start: operate inside state and local parks, keep the setting real, and elevate the accommodation. Outside the tent, the experience stays traditional, with campfires, trails, and open sky. Inside, hotel-style bedding, considered layouts, and thoughtful touches create comfort without excess.
A family model
Timberline grew through shared values rather than aggressive expansion. Many of its operators are husband-and-wife teams and families, a structure that mirrors the founders' own partnership. For many guests, a Timberline stay becomes a first real entry into the outdoors, welcoming rather than intimidating.
