Four Seasons Tented Camp

Golden Triangle, Chiang Rai, Thailand
Region
Chiang Rai, Thailand
Structure
Safari tents
Setting
Ruak River, bamboo forest
Arrival
By longtail boat

At the meeting point of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, the land folds into mountain ridges, dense bamboo, and quiet riverbanks. This is where the camp sits, and the setting does most of the talking.

Arrival sets the tone. Guests approach by longtail boat along the Ruak River, past jungle-lined banks, before stepping onto a secluded riverside peninsula. The camp does not announce itself. It reveals itself slowly.

"We bring you close to nature with our unique jungle-to-table menu."

Pranee Pongkhokkruad, Assistant Restaurant Manager

The tents

Safari-style tents are elevated and spaced for privacy and sightlines. Canvas walls, hardwood floors, and handcrafted furnishings carry an expedition feel, layered with leather, rich textiles, and collected antiques. Each tent opens to a private deck with an outdoor copper soaking tub set toward the greenery.

Days and the table

Days unfold through guided exploration: mountain trails through bamboo, hillside cycling, forest bathing, and cultural visits to nearby markets and villages. One of the most meaningful programs centers on rescued elephants, observed within a natural environment alongside conservation teams. At the Nong Yao restaurant, the menu blends the flavors of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, and evenings shift to open-air sundowners served from elevated decks.
